Hydro International Names New National Sales Manager

Hydro International Announces the Appointment of a National Sales Manager for its US Stormwater Business

PORTLAND, Maine – December 16, 2009 — Hydro International, a leading provider of environmentally sustainable products and innovative solutions that control and treat stormwater, wastewater and combined sewer overflows, today announced the appointment of Larry Abatiell as National Sales Manager for the company’s US Stormwater business.

Abatiell, based out of the US Stormwater unit’s headquarters in Portland, Maine, will focus on developing North American sales channels and routes to market, working with Hydro’s regional sales managers, independent distributors, independent sales representatives and precast

concrete companies that partner with Hydro on sales efforts.

Abatiell started his career with Weston and Sampson Engineers Inc. He soon transitioned to the commercial side of the business, working for Contech Construction Products as a sales engineer and later as director of business development and general manager of BEBOTech Corp., a joint venture with Contech. He also spent four years as product and marketing manager with Oldcastle Precast Inc. and most recently two years as director of technical sales for Excend Inc. in Woodcliff Lake, N.J., a provider of construction-related services.

He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering at the University of Vermont in Burlington and he currently is a licensed professional engineer.
