Hydro International Sales Jump 16 Percent in 2007

Record Results Paced by Strong Sales Across Stormwater, Wastewater and CSO Product Portfolios

CLEVEDON, England  - Hydro International today announced a 16 percent revenue increase in 2007 with worldwide sales of $52 million, paced by strong sales in each of its major sectors.

Hydro’s North America stormwater operations saw increased demand for products across its portfolio. Products including the Hydro Downstream Defender®, the Hydro Up-Flo Filter® and the Hydro First Defense® offer high-performance treatment for the protection of rivers and lakes, and products such as the Hydro Reg-U-Flo Vortex Valve® provide flow-control capabilities that protect urban environments from flooding.

Highlights for the North American stormwater business include the securing of regulatory approvals for the Hydro Downstream Defender in Ohio and for the Hydro Up-Flo Filter in the St. Louis market.

Hydro’s North American wastewater operations secured its largest grit-removal contract ever in 2007 – a $1.8 million deal with the City of Clearwater, Fla. Hydro also continued its progress in developing new territories including Pennsylvania, West Virginia, North Carolina, Texas and Kentucky.

“We were very pleased with the progress our North American operations made in 2007,” said Chris Williams, Chief Operating Officer for Hydro International. “The fundamentals of our business are very strong, and we look forward to building on our successes in 2008.”
